Seamless logo and web design project for a leading suit makers in the City.
Medida is a made-to-measure tailor based in the City of London. After cutting ties with a well-known tailoring franchise, the brand needed a new identity and website to define their new independence.
We worked with Medida’s founder as a franchisee, so had first-hand knowledge of the bespoke tailoring business and understood the importance of detail.
The monochrome logo design therefore doffs a hat to the classic vertical pinstripe (mainstay of the City’s working wardrobe) and a tailor’s tack (simple holding stitch).
The geometric styling of the tack also references the ‘crotch’ (that’s typographic anatomy for you, folks) of the Medida ‘M’ providing a visual thread linking the logo mark and the full logo type.
For the website, we again kept tailoring at the forefront creating a mood board function whereby customers can browse collar, cut and cuff styles and take their preferences, in hand, to a fitting. A seamless brand identity and platform development, you might say.
